You’ll be part of an orchestra of creative young musicians from across the region. Supported by our talented tutors, you’ll create completely new music inspired by your own experiences and music and cultures from around the world.

The brand new piece of music will be performed for friends and family at 5.30pm on the final day of the course.

O1 is for instrument players and singers of all levels and types! Whatever your unique sound is, you’ll fit right in at Orchestra ONE.

We welcome all musicians aged 11-18 who play any instrument or sing in any genre to join the ensemble.

We ask that beginners have been playing their instrument for at least one school term. There is no restriction on instruments or preferred genres. If you’re a vocalist, no prior experience is required!

It doesn’t matter whether you’re a classical harpist, a ska trumpeter, a spoken word poet, beatboxer, DJ, folk guitarist or something else entirely. All types of musicians and singers are welcome.

Every O1 project offers brand new experiences, and you don’t need to have taken part before to have a great experience.

Wherever possible, participants will need to bring their own instruments along to the project including amplifiers, leads and instrument stands.

Do let us know if you haven’t got your own supplies – we may be able to help out. Please get in touch by emailing countygroups@kent-music.com if this is the case.

How to Apply

Details will be updated once the venue has been confirmed and applications open.
