Media Permissions Policy

Our media permissions policy protects children, young people, and vulnerable adults during events where photos, videos, and recordings may be taken. We comply with legal and ethical standards, respecting individual rights regarding media consent.

Key measures include opt-out options, avoiding personal data in publications, and securely storing images. External photographers must comply with this policy. Images are refreshed every seven years but kept indefinitely for archival purposes.

Kent Music may occasionally take photos, videos, and audio recordings of students in rehearsals or concerts for archival purposes, teacher training, and inclusion in our brochures and publicity material, including our website and social media. We never sell or share your details with third parties.
While we use legitimate interest as the lawful basis for processing media images and do not require consent, you can opt out at any time.

Complaints Policy

Kent Music values customer feedback and is dedicated to high-quality service. This policy outlines how we handle feedback and complaints.
Positive feedback is acknowledged and may be shared with your consent. Complaints can be submitted via direct communication, email, or mail. Include your contact information, a detailed description of the issue, and any supporting evidence.

We acknowledge receipt within five days and respond within fifteen days, detailing our investigation and resolution timeframe. If unsatisfied, customers can escalate the issue. Volunteers & Work Experience Policy

Kent Music offers volunteer and work experience opportunities, fostering a diverse and inclusive environment. This policy outlines eligibility, with volunteers being over 18 and work experience open to those over 16.

The policy emphasizes equal opportunities, safeguarding, and a clear application process, including DBS checks for those interacting with students. Participants receive role descriptions, necessary training, and support, with regular feedback. Confidentiality and health and safety compliance are mandatory. Feedback is encouraged, and the policy is reviewed regularly.
