Teaches:
Voice
I teach voice at the Sevenoaks hub in West Kent; I cover a variety of styles from soul to musical theatre to opera, having trained as a classical singer. My training is principally as a composer, having first studied Music at the University of Cambridge, going on to complete an MA in Opera Making & Writing at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, in association with the Royal Opera House. I have sung with choirs at most of the major London venues, and performed as a soloist at numerous others including the National Auditorium in Madrid.
I believe in a personalised teaching style, depending on the student's wants & needs, but believe that 'good singing' ultimately comes down to a handful of core techniques rooted in physiology. I firmly believe that everyone can sing with the right tips!
I also lead the West Kent Youth Choir for Kent Music; outside of my KM engagements I work mainly as a conductor, directing a number of choirs and ensembles all over the weald of Kent, as well as maintaining a portfolio of performing engagements as both a singer and pianist.
