Piano & Keyboard,Strings,Voice

Teaches:
Music Theory , Piano , Viola , Violin , Voice

I have taught violin, voice and piano for nearly twenty years, sharing my love for music and finding an approach that suits each pupil's personality.

I started learning violin at the age of six, and later also voice and piano at the Junior Guildhall School of Music and Drama. From the age of 14, I attended the music specialist school Purcell and finally graduated from the Royal College of Music with a 1st class BMus Degree. I feel I have had a wealth of experience from different teachers and I like to amalgamate their varied approaches and my own experiences in my teaching.

I enjoy being a soloist and chamber musician, in the UK, abroad, on TV and radio, and working as a freelance violinist with orchestras throughout the UK and Ireland. This joy of making music and performing with others, leads me to encourage my students to explore possibilities that would make their experience of music fun. As well as classical music, I love Jazz, world music, improvising and composing, and so I like to incorporate these aspects in my teaching.
