Orchestra ONE has run over 30 projects and counting, each on a different inspiring musical theme! Each project is a testament to the creativity and collaboration of our young musicians. Check out some of our past projects to see the amazing work our participants have produced and see what it’s like on an O1 course.

Who can join Orchestra ONE?

We welcome all musicians aged 11-18 who play any instrument or sing in any genre. Beginners should have at least one school term of experience with their instrument. There are no restrictions on instruments or preferred genres. Vocalists don’t need any prior experience.

Do I need to audition?

No auditions needed! As long as you are the right age and grade level, you are welcome on the course.

What do I need to bring?

Wherever possible, participants will need to bring their own instruments along to the project including amplifiers, leads and instrument stands.
Do let us know if you haven’t got your own supplies – we may be able to help out. Please get in touch by emailing countygroups@kent-music.com if this is the case.

When do projects take place?

Orchestra ONE projects take place during half term breaks. Typically, they run for four days, with a performance on the final day. Please see each project for specific details.

Where do projects take place?

Typically projects will take place in Ashford. However, please see each project for specific details.

How much do projects cost?

Please refer to the specific project details for information on costs. Financial assistance is available to help you access projects should you need it.
