Job summary
Are you passionate about fostering creativity, inclusion, and musical achievement among young people? Kent Music is looking for an inspiring and driven Orchestra ONE Manager to develop this unique ensemble for young musicians aged 11-18. You will oversee the administration and delivery of three exciting four-day projects each year. With a focus on innovation and collaboration, you’ll develop opportunities for young musicians to create original music and experience the joy of performance.
This role offers flexible working hours around project dates and the chance to work in a supportive, values-driven organisation that believes music changes lives.
What you’ll do
- Lead the planning, organisation, and delivery of Orchestra ONE’s projects.
- Work closely with Kent Music staff, tutors, and partners to ensure the ensemble thrives.
- Promote the ensemble to schools and communities, championing inclusivity and youth voice.
- Manage the recruitment of students and staff, ensuring the highest standards of safeguarding and quality.
- Strategically grow the ensemble, diversifying its tutor pool and building membership to 50.

- A high standard of musical literacy and a passion for inclusive music-making.
- A team player with excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Flexibility to work during school holidays.
