Calling all non-specialist teachers of music!
Do you lack confidence in your musical knowledge or ability? Are you looking for new ways to deliver exciting music lessons?
If you answered yes to either of these questions, then this is the course for you!
By taking part in this session, you will be able to boost your confidence when delivering musical activities and lessons. This is a practical and informative session, designed to arm you with some great skills and ideas to take straight back to the classroom.
Join us as we explore:
- warmups and starters
- rhythm and pitch notation
- ideas for composition
- active listening
- how to expand listening activities into composition, improvisation and performing activities.
This session is designed to support teachers, HLTAs and TAs of KS1/2 students. It is aimed at non specialists but music specialists are welcome to come along and gain some new ideas. Whether you’re a complete beginner or just want to take your teaching to the next level, you’ll leave with lots practical games and activities to get your pupils engaged and inspired.
Led by our very own School Support and Development Manager, Zoe Marksford.
Our CPD sessions are free for attendees working in Kent & Medway schools, there is a small charge for schools attending from outside of the Kent & Medway area; and also for those working in independent schools. There will also be a charge of £15 to schools for non-attendance without 48hours notice.
Kindly hosted by Brompton Westbrook Primary School.
