Using Notation with KS1 and KS2

Join us as we explore ways of incorporating notation in your primary music lessons.

During this session you will explore practical and accessible ways of teaching and using notation at KS1/KS2. You will be shown how to make sure that learners develop their knowledge incrementally; so that they understand each new symbol and how it relates to their prior knowledge. You will be equipped with resources to take away and use in your own classrooms, including a dedicated notation progression map.

This session is designed to support all teachers who deliver music lessons at KS1 and KS2.

This session will be led by a Kent Music favourite, Katie Teage.

Kent Music are proud to bring these events to music educators across the county for free! There is a small fee of £15 for independent schools and out of area schools. If you book a place please endeavour to attend or let us know if you can no longer make it as this may be preventing another person booking a space. There will be a charge of £15 to schools for non-attendance at in-person events without 48 hours notice.
