I am a composer, guitarist, music educator and visual artist with over 20 years’ experience on the instrument.

I hold a PhD and Masters in music composition, and am always playing and creating. I have worked creatively in a wide variety of settings, including playing in bands, writing and releasing music, and composing for ensembles in the UK and Europe. As a composer a key part of my approach is supporting students to find their own unique voice through the instrument.

My teaching style is very student-focused, working collaboratively to ascertain musical goals, then tailoring lessons to reach these. Whether you are an absolute beginner wanting to play your favourite songs or a more advanced player looking to deepen your theoretical understanding, I can help!
