Hub Partners

The Hub Lead Organisation co-ordinates the partners, ensuring they provide a breadth of knowledge and expertise across the hub area and are demonstrative of the area’s diversity.

The Kent & Medway Music Hub is made up of 3 types of partnerships:

Strategic Partners

Strategic partners play a large role in supporting the strategic aims and direction of the Music Hub, ensuring that the offer is broad, relevant and driven by need. They may sit on Kent Music board or on the Hub advisory Group.

Pie Factory Music

Strategic Partner
Pie Factory Music are a creative youth charity based in Thanet. Pie Factory are currently supporting Kent Music in a piece of needs analysis work in Dover Town to ascertain the musical opportunities locally and develop a strategic plan for musical growth in the area.

Royal Ballet & Opera

Strategic Partner
Royal Ballet & Opera are currently supporting Kent Music in a piece of needs analysis work on the Isle of Sheppey. The aim of the partnership is to learn more about musical opportunities locally and develop a strategic plan for musical growth in the area.

Kent County Council

Strategic Partner
Kent County Council support the hub’s work by providing vital funds to support out-of-school music making activities including our annual summer school.

SingUp

Strategic Partner
Kent Music works with SingUp to provide resources to schools to ensure that singing in schools is high quality and accessible to all.

Andrew Parry Music

Delivery Partner
Andrew Parry Music is a provider of instrumental tuition and ensembles, in and out of schools across the county. Andrew Parry Music is funded by the hub to deliver MusicPlus provision and ensembles in schools through our Funded Opportunities programme.

Make Time for Music

Make Time for Music is a provider of instrumental tuition and ensembles, in and out of schools across the county. Make Time for Music is funded by the hub to deliver MusicPlus provision and ensembles in schools through our Funded Opportunities programme.

Maidstone Youth Music Society (MYMS)

Delivery Partner
MYMS provides out-of-school tuition and access to ensembles for children and young people in the Maidstone area. MYMS is funded by the hub to deliver two vocal groups at their music centre in Maidstone.

Deal Music & Arts

Delivery Partner
Deal Music & Arts is a provider of instrumental tuition and ensembles, in and out of schools in the Dover area. Deal Music & Arts is funded by the hub to deliver whole class instrumental tuition through their ‘Bold As’ project through our Funded Opportunities programme.

Supporting Partners

Supporting partners play a vital role in supporting the reach of hub activity by signposting young people and educators to relevant opportunities and information for example music programmes, funding opportunities, careers progression and resources.

Sparkyard is a high-quality online resource designed to support educators provide accessible and fun music making opportunities for EYFS – KS2 pupils.

OHMI

Supporting Partner
OHMI are pioneers in adapting instruments for those who are physically disabled. Their knowledge, experience and guidance ensures the hub can provide access to music making for all.

Kent & Medway Young Musicians Trust

Supporting Partner
KaMYMT supports young musicians locally by providing grants and performance opportunities to those who may face financial barriers to music education. We are currently working together to raise the profile of music in Gravesham and Thanet.
