Orchestra ONE Project 31 - Myths & Legends
Orchestra ONE's Project 31, titled "Myths & Legends," took place in May 2023 in Ashford.
Young musicians gathered to create a new suite of music inspired by myths and legends. Led by Issie Barratt, director of the National Youth Jazz Collective, the participants started from scratch and developed their ideas into a cohesive piece over a few days. They worked in a creative space provided by the Jasmin Vardimon Company, which added to the creative atmosphere.
The project was an exciting journey of collaboration and improvisation. By the end of the week, the young musicians had created and performed a piece filled with magical and mythical themes. The final performance showcased their hard work and creativity, leaving everyone involved with a sense of pride and accomplishment.
